Calnexin Cycle

The Calnexin Cycle is a molecular chaperone system in the endoplasmic reticulum that ensures proper folding of newly synthesized glycoproteins by iteratively binding and releasing N-linked oligosaccharide intermediates through interactions with calnexin and calreticulin, coupled with glucosidase and UDP-glucose:glycoprotein glucosyltransferase activities.
