Budget Integrity

Budget Integrity is a normative construct in public financial management that denotes the extent to which a government's budget cycle—including formulation, approval, execution, and auditing—adheres to principles of accuracy, transparency, comprehensiveness, and accountability, thereby ensuring that fiscal resources are managed in a manner that reflects public priorities and prevents misallocation or corruption.
