Brca1-dependent Damage Recognition

BRCA1-Dependent Damage Recognition is a molecular mechanism of DNA damage surveillance in which the BRCA1 tumor suppressor protein mediates the identification and recruitment of repair machinery to sites of genomic lesions, particularly double-strand breaks, through its specific interactions with phosphorylated adaptor proteins and chromatin modifications, thereby distinguishing it from BRCA1-independent pathways of damage sensing.
