Braided Rivers

Braided Rivers is a type of alluvial fluvial system characterized by a network of multiple interconnected, aggrading, and laterally migrating channels that are separated by transient, unvegetated or sparsely vegetated sediment bars, distinguishing it from meandering rivers by its high sediment load, steep gradient, and frequent channel instability.
