Bootstrap Current
Bootstrap Current is a self-generated electrical current in a toroidal plasma arising from pressure gradient-driven neoclassical transport, distinguished from externally driven currents by its intrinsic dependence on the radial gradient of the plasma pressure and its role in enabling stationary-state operation of magnetic confinement fusion devices.
