Bargaining Preemption
Bargaining Preemption is a strategic labor relations doctrine within multiemployer bargaining that refers to the exclusive right of an employer or group of employers to initiate or control the bargaining process, thereby precluding individual bargaining units or unions from engaging in separate negotiations on substantially similar terms during the pendency of centralized negotiations.
