Bank-angle Modulation

Bank-Angle Modulation is a guidance strategy in atmospheric reentry flight dynamics wherein the vehicle's roll attitude is systematically adjusted about its velocity vector to regulate lateral lift and thereby control the magnitude and direction of aerodynamic forces for maintaining trajectory constraints and managing crossrange.
