Backbone-driven Assembly
Backbone-Driven Assembly is a reference-guided assembly method that leverages a pre-existing reference sequence as a structural scaffold to guide the alignment, ordering, and integration of sequencing reads or contigs, distinguishing itself by prioritizing topological coherence and sequence similarity to the reference backbone over de novo assembly principles.
