Back-arc Seismicity
Back-Arc Seismicity is a geological phenomenon characterized by earthquake activity occurring in the back-arc region, which lies behind a volcanic arc and above a subducting tectonic plate, distinguished by its spatial association with extensional or compressional stresses induced by plate subduction dynamics.
