Appellate Mediation

Appellate Mediation is a form of alternative dispute resolution within the appellate process whereby a neutral third party facilitates negotiated settlement between litigants to resolve non-frivolous issues in controversy, distinct from traditional trial mediation by occurring post-trial and prior to appellate judgment, thereby preserving judicial resources while maintaining appellate review rights.
