Actin-based Transport

Actin-Based Transport is a mode of intracellular cargo transport that employs polarized actin filament networks, together with actin-dependent motor proteins and/or actin polymerization dynamics, as the primary tracks and force-generating machinery for the directed movement and spatial positioning of vesicles, organelles, and other macromolecular cargos, in contrast to microtubule-based transport.
