Acoustic Tomography

Acoustic Tomography is a remote-sensing tomographic technique in ocean and underwater acoustics that infers the three-dimensional spatial distribution of environmental properties, such as temperature and current velocity, by inverting precisely measured travel times and related characteristics of sound waves propagating between multiple, spatially separated acoustic sources and receivers.
