Access-related Utilization

Access-Related Utilization is a resource use outcome that denotes the extent to which a user successfully engages with a paper-level contribution—such as a method, model, framework, theory, construct, dataset, task, or metric—by directly employing or referencing it in subsequent research, thereby reflecting the contribution’s availability, discoverability, and usability within the academic ecosystem.
