Abstract

Increased cataract severity, as determined by LOCS II grading, is strongly associated with both VA and CS scores. Contrast sensitivity scores obtained from testing at low spatial frequency do not seem to offer additional information over standard VA testing in early cortical and posterior subcapsular opacities nor in nuclear cataracts.
