Hybrid XML documents are documents, which contain several XML languages, separated b y a namespace. Recently, the usage of hybrid do cuments has increased. The trend has been to specify XML languages as modules, which are c ombined to construct complete documents. As the number of languages gets higher, a way to flexibly handle these kinds of documents is required. This paper describes a framework for an XML browser to handle hybrid do cuments. The features of the framework are demonstrated with a hybrid do cument containing SMIL, XForms, and XML Events.
