A total of seven cantilever beams (each containing two ducts) were evaluated during the preliminary site investigation. In a number of the beams, cracks which extended through the webs of the beams were observed along the tendon trajectory. Although in these cases the impact-echo responses did not always follow the ideal patterns, it was still possible to identify the presence of voids in the tendon ducts.
