Abstract

Many are the studies that emphasize motivation as a key factor in a foreign language acquisition (Ellis, 1994), (Gardner, 2006), (Spolsky, 1989). According to Gardner (2006, pag. 241) “students with higher levels of motivation will do better than students with lower levels”. These students are also more likely to be engaged in the relevant activities, to expand efforts and to show desire to achieve the goal.
