This paper shows the results of a research project subsidized by the Andalusia Regional Government in a public call (BOJA 11/04/2007) aimed at designing virtual resources for coeducation. One of these resources is an online tool for gender culture assessment at school, which allows us to carry out online surveys and publish statistical reports in order to facilitate teachers practices in schools. The aim of this paper is to present a valid and reliable attitudes scale which allows us to measure teachers degree of predisposition to construct a gender culture based on equality at schools. With this paper, we try to know teachers attitudes to equality culture in educational contexts. For this, we use a quantitative and qualitative methodology, applying focus groups and attitude scales. Four focus groups are implemented with 23 teachers (4 men y 19 women) from different schools in Seville. The sample of participant teachers in the quantitative study based on attitude scales comprises 324 teachers from Seville. The scale obtains a Cronbach coefficient of 0.92 and an item saturation coefficient in the main component of 0.546, demonstrating the constructs validity. The results show that teachers scarcely participated in the process of gender culture assessment at school (only 39.18% of invited teachers). However, we can observe very positive attitudes towards equality among participant teachers, with this tendency being stronger among female than male teachers (p = 0.000). This study shows that male teachers do not demonstrate as positive an attitude towards equality as female teachers, revealing the need to continue developing politics of equality. These results agree with other studies that show the lack of teachers awareness on the subject of equality.
