Abstract

WD-fed SR-BI^∆CT/∆CT/<i>Ldlr</i>^<i>-/-</i> mice more closely replicate late-stage clinical events of advanced human atherosclerotic disease than previous models and can be used to identify and test potential new therapeutic agents to prevent major adverse cardiac events.
