1e:T41f,This work has looked to explore an innovative and powerful visible fluorescence immunoassay method through wet NH₃-triggered structural change of NH₂-MIL-125(Ti) impregnated on paper for the detection of carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA). Gold nanoparticles heavily functionalized with glutamate dehydrogenase (GDH) and secondary antibody were used for generation of wet NH₃ with a sandwiched immunoassay format. Paper-based analytical device (PAD) coated with NH₂-MIL-125(Ti) exhibited good visible fluorescence intensity through wet NH₃-triggeried structural change with high accuracy and reproducibility. Moreover, NH₂-MIL-125(Ti)-based PAD displayed two visual modes of fluorescence color and physical color with the naked eye and allowed the detection of CEA at a concentration as low as 0.041 ng mL^-1. Importantly, the PAD-based assay provides promise for use in the mass production of miniaturized devices and opens new opportunities for protein diagnostics and biosecurity.1f:T4f8,Herein, we explore a general Cu_2-x S nanocube template-assisted and reverse cation exchange-mediated growth strategy for fabricating hollow multinary metal sulfide. Unlike the traditional cation exchange method controlled by the metal sulfide constant, the introduction of tri-n-butylphosphine (TBP) can reverse cation exchange to give a series of hollow metal sulfides. A variety of hollow multinary metal sulfide cubic nanostructures has been demonstrated while preserving anisotropic shapes to the as-synthesized templates, including binary compounds (CdS, ZnS, Ag₂ S, PbS, SnS), ternary compound (CuInS₂ , Zn_x Cd_1-x S), and quaternary compound (single-atom platinum anchored Zn_x Cd_1-x S; Zn_x Cd_1-x S-Pt₁ ). Experimental and density functional theory (DFT) calculations show that the hollow metal sulfide semiconductors obtained could significantly improve the separation and migration of photogenerated electron-hole pairs. Owing to the efficient charge transfer, the Zn_x Cd_1-x S-Pt₁ exhibited outstanding photocatalytic performance of CO₂ to CO, with the highest CO generation rate of 75.31 μmol h^-1 .20:T4e3,Herein, we present a novel strategy based on a "turn-on" persistent luminescence imaging chemical system of graphitic carbon nitride for detecting biothiols in biological fluids. Graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) as persistent luminescence probe is fabricated via a new procedure based on pyrolysis of guanidine hydrochloride under ambient atmospheric conditions. The prepared g-C3N4 nanosheets give intensively long-persistent luminescence that can avoid interference from biological media such as tissue autofluorescence and scattering light. The original persistent luminescence of g-C3N4 turns off due to the adsorption of silver ion (Ag(+)) onto g-C3N4 materials with an electron transfer process. The presence of biothiols induces the onset of persistent luminescence emission by interrupting the quenching interaction, thereby turning on the imaging probe. The approach exhibits high specificity and high sensitivity to biothiols with low detection limit for cysteine (Cys), homocysteine (Hcy), and glutathione (GSH) with 6.4, 8.1, and 9.6 nM, respectively. It is also successfully applied for imaging detection of biothiols in human urine, plasma, and cell lysates, demonstrating its great value of practical application in biological systems.
