Abstract

Summary The immunogenicity of L and D polylysines substituted with penicilloyl, dinitrophenyl and tosyl groups has been evaluated in random-bred Hartley strain guinea pigs. The L polylysine derivatives produced an immunologic response in about 20% of animals. Of a total of 106 guinea pigs immunized with D polylysine conjugates, in no instance was there evidence for antibody formation.
