Distribution of Electrons Scattered by Gold

Abstract

The distribution in energy and angle of 20-kev electrons scattered by gold has been measured. The energy resolution is better than 0.1 percent and the angular resolution better than ${10}^{\ensuremath{-}3}$ radian. Data are presented for gold of different thickness and degree of crystal orientation and for grazing angle reflection.
