Alles unter Kontrolle: Die Programmierbarkeit von Hybridisierungsvorgängen wurde zur Erzeugung einer kombinatorischen Bibliothek von Strukturen genutzt, die Topologien komplexer Kohlenhydrate imitieren, die mit einem Antikörper mit Breitbandwirkung gegen HIV wechselwirken. Bei dieser einfachen Methode werden mit Peptidnucleinsäuren markierte Oligosaccharide in kontrollierter Weise mit DNA-Templaten verknüpft (siehe Bild).
