A Diarylprolinol in an Asymmetric, Catalytic, and Direct Crossed‐Aldol Reaction of Acetaldehyde

Abstract

Nur nicht überreagieren! Ein Diarylprolinol erwies sich als effizienter Organokatalysator für direkte Aldolreaktionen von Acetaldehyd, die β-Hydroxyaldehyde ohne α-Substituenten in guter Ausbeute und mit ausgezeichneter Enantioselektivität liefern (siehe Schema). Im vorgeschlagenen Übergangszustand greift der Aldehyd von der stärker gehinderten Seite des Enamin-Intermediats an, da sich eine Wasserstoffbrücke zwischen dem Aldehyd und der OH-Gruppe des Organokatalysators bildet.
