Oxidative De‐aromatization of <i>para</i>‐Alkyl Phenols into <i>para</i>‐Peroxyquinols and <i>para</i>‐Quinols Mediated by Oxone as a Source of Singlet Oxygen

Abstract

Einfach, aber gut: Das leicht zu handhabende und umweltverträgliche Oxone erzeugt Singulettsauerstoff, der unter milden Bedingungen selektiv und mit guten bis ausgezeichneten Ausbeuten para-Alkylphenole 1 oxidativ zu para-Peroxychinolen 2 desaromatisiert. Auch para-Chinole 3 können in einem Eintopfverfahren aus 1 durch Zugabe von Natriumthiosulfat zur Reaktionsmischung erhalten werden.
