Abstract

enzyme. The optimal temperature and pH for activity were 55 o C and around 10, respectively. The optimal pH is the highest among mannanases reported to date. Highly alkaline mannanase is expected to have good wash performance in detergent solution and be effective in biobleaching of kraft pulp. Therefore, AmA is highly applicable to the paper and detergent industries, as well as the food industry.
