The three independent tensor components of the gyration tensor of a crystal of the orthorhombic enantiomorphic compound NaNH 4 SO 4 .2H 2 O, sodium ammonium sulfate dihydrate (SASD), are measured for the first time using the HAUP method. A full structure analysis (R=0.03) has been performed and the absolute optical chirality has been determined. The refractive indices and rotarory power have been calculated and an attempts to link the rotatory power to the known structure is made
