Submicron spatial resolution Pb–Pb and U–Pb dating by using a NanoSIMS equipped with the new radio-frequency ion source

Abstract

Pb–Pb measurements of standard zircon M257 and standard baddeleyite Phalaborwa were employed using our RF source mapping method. Rectangular ROIs with the size of 3 × 50 pixel² (480 nm × 7.8 μm) were applied on the ion image of the standards.
