Abstract This study aims to analyze the improvement of students’ mathematical problem solving abilities. This is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental method. The population of this study is the ability to solve mathematical problem of class XI students in one of senior high schools in Karawang (2019/2020 school year). The sample used consisted of 33 of control class who received conventional online learning and 36 students of experiment class who receive Online PJBL-STEM. The instrument used was a mathematical problem-solving ability test. Data analysis in this study used the Mann-Whitney test. The result show that there is a significant improvement of problem solving ability between two class. Increasing the mathematical problem solving ability of students online class PjBL STEM is higher than conventional online classes.
