Hierarchical route to the emergence of leader nodes in real-world networks

Abstract

This paper shows the simultaneous emergence of leader nodes at the pinnacle of the structural hierarchy underlying a large collection of real-world networked systems once the network non-normality surpasses some threshold, alongside its effect on dynamical processes upon the network.
