Education and Leadership in Indonesia: A Trilogy Concept in Islamic Perspective

This study aims to uncover the basis used to construct the leadership trilogy in Indonesia, and examine it from Islamic education perspective, using a qualitative model with literature study. Meanwhile, data is obtained through written relics, both in form of books, journals and proceedings relevant to the subject. Furthermore, a historical, biographical and normative approach is used, and the data analysis techniques used are content, comparative and inductive. Based on the discussions, there are three bases used to construct leadership theory, and it is often referred to as the trilogy concept, which are ing ngarso sung tulodo, ing madyo mangun karso, tut wuri handayani.
