In this study, a novel method to design hydroxyapatite scaffold based on gradient porosity was proposed. Additionally, after a tailor-made ceramic suspension was cured by stereolithography (SLA), a minimal pore with a diameter size of 500μm can be fabricated, and it has a high dimension precision up to about 60μm. The compression test showed that the scaffolds had an effective elastic modulus ranging from 2.4GPa to 5.9GPa, which could match with the cancellous bone well. Moreover, in-vitro experiments demonstrated that this hydroxyapatite bioceramic scaffold was compatible with bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) and showed good effect on cell proliferation.
