Scaffold Design

Scaffold Design is an engineering process in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine that entails the systematic specification and optimization of a scaffold’s material composition, three-dimensional architecture, mechanical and biochemical properties, and fabrication parameters to emulate essential features of the native extracellular matrix and thereby direct cell behavior and tissue regeneration for a defined clinical application.
