Abstract

Significance Asymmetric fluorination is an important organic transformation due to the many biologically important drugs that contain this atom. This report introduces a new catalyst system for the introduction of fluorine into the oxindole scaffold. The dimetallic catalyst 1 is shown to be a better catalyst using NFSI as a fluorine source.
