This paper proposes a novel Smart Charging Scheduling Algorithm (SCS-Algorithm) for charging solution by coordinating multiple plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) in a smart grid (SG) system. Utilities are becoming anxious about the voltage stresses, performance degradations of smart grid and overloads that occur in distribution systems with plentiful PHEV charging events. Random and uncoordinated PHEV charging can cause huge power losses, stability issues, and blackouts sometimes on newly emerging SG. Therefore, a smart charging strategy is proposed and developed for charging coordination of PHEVs (e.g., every 30 mins) to minimize of total daily charging cost by incorporating Grid to Vehicle (G2V) and Vehicle to Grid (V2G) technology using real time tariff (RTT) in parking lot, controlled by various aggregator. optimization technique is integrated with SCSA, to determine the optimal value of charging cost and the charging schedule. To validate our work, two test case is taken and SCSA is applied to check the robustness and consistency of the algorithm by non-parametric Wilcoxon Signed Rank test (WSRT).
