Oxygen vacancy-rich amorphous porous NiFe(OH)<sub>x</sub> on carbon paper is prepared through a two-step electrochemical depostion of Prussian blue nanocrystal layer and Ni(OH)<sub>x</sub> layer followed by an alkaline etching process for efficient OER catalysis.
