Image sensor with In-pixel calculation using crystalline IGZO FET in display

Abstract

Abstract An image sensor with in-pixel arithmetic circuits was prototyped with transistors having a crystalline-oxide-semiconductor channel layer, commonly used in display applications. The evaluation of the image sensor confirmed its capability of multiply-accumulate operations using captured image data and filter (weight) data within the pixel and the chip to extract features from a captured image.
