Aetiology of Multiple SclerosisSIR,-By using a new method, recently referred to in your columns1 by Sir Macfarlane Burnet, we find that suspected idiopathic autoimmune disorders can be classified by statistical criteria into two categories.This division also corresponds, interestingly enough, to a fundamental anatomical distinction regarding the location of the target tissue.
