Impairments of cognitive control in patients with somatoform disorders and their treatment

Patients with SD had specific characteristics of the cognitive sphere, most pronounced in the form of attention disorders. The psychological study showed the higher level of anxiety. In addition, patients with SD were characterized by the low levels of emotional intelligence and cognitive control of emotions compared with the control group. The results of the follow-up study after treatment suggest the high efficacy of recognan in the treatment of SD (improvement was noted in 67.4% of patients). A significant decrease in the severity of autonomic disorders and in indicators characterizing asthenia was established after the treatment.
