Abstract

Poultry house are used for the main purpose of enhancing the environmental conditions in which birds are grown. The temperature inside livestock building is the most influential factor on the chickens. Commonly, it has been mutually interacted with others climatic parameters such as humidity, NH3 and CO2. This paper proposes a new ways to control the temperature inside poultry house using an optimized proportional-integrator-derivative (PID) controller. The primary technique focuses on the set of the output matrix via the adaptation of the static output feedback (SOF) control for the multi-inputs multi-output (MIMO) system. The generated single model of the poultry house process is regulated with the PID controller. Additionally, the Ant Colony Algorithm is employed to derive the optimal parameters (Kp, Ki, Kd) on testing the four multi-objective indices: the criterion of Integrated Squared Error (ISE), Integrated Absolute Error (IAE), Integrated Time Absolute Error (ITAE) and Integrated Time Squared Error (ITSE). The simulation results in case of hot conditions shows and demonstrates the good performance of the proposed technique in tracking the desired set point with the poultry house process.
