Abstract

Our data demonstrate EPCs secrete exosomes that have independent angiogenic activity <i>in vitro</i>. This may help explain in part the protective effects of EPCs on hyperoxic injury in the developing lung vasculature and may represent a promising therapeutic strategy for BPD.
