Abstract Shoot tips, 1.5 cm long, of Gypsophila paniculata (baby’s breath), were proliferated on modified Murashige and Skoog salts, 30 g/liter sucrose, 7 g/liter agar, 0.4 mg/liter thiamine-hydrochloric acid (thiamine·HCL), 100 mg/liter myo -inositol with 0.05 mg/liter napthalene-acetic acid (NAA) plus 1.0 mg/liter 6-benzylamino purine (BA). Cultured shoots rooted on White’s medium after treatment of bases with NAA or indolebutyric acid (IBA).
