On a fixed domain approach for a shape optimization problem

Abstract

A fixed domain approach is presented for solving an optimal shape design problem governed by the transmission problem. In the proposed method the original optimal shape design problem is converted to a control problem in a fixed domain. Results of numerical tests are presented.
