In this study, a warm red phosphor based on the substitution of Ge<sup>4+</sup> for Ti<sup>4+</sup> in the lattice of Mg<sub>2</sub>Ti<sub>x</sub>Ge<sub>1−x</sub>O<sub>4</sub>:Mn<sup>4+</sup> was prepared by a solid-state reaction route.
