Ovarian cancer is one of the most challenging gynecological cancers in the world, with profound negative effect on the quality and length of life and with more than 70% of the women diagnosed with advanced disease The absence of specific symptoms and effective screening tests make it difficult to establish early diagnosis of ovarian cancer. In addition, most women have a little or no knowledge about the risks, possible symptoms, and the dangers ovarian cancer poses to them All these factors combined together are likely responsible for most of the late presentations seen in women with ovarian cancer and its related mortality.
