The phenotypic variability of GS and therapeutic strategies deserve further research to improve GS diagnosis and prognosis. Even heterozygous carriers exhibited increased 24-h Na<sup>+</sup> urine excretion, which may make them more susceptible to diuretic-induced hypokalemia.
