Here we report the first base-metal catalyzed dehydrogenative coupling of primary (aromatic, heteroaromatic, and aliphatic) and secondary alcohols with methyl-<italic>N</italic>-heteroaromatics to form various C(sp<sup>3</sup>)-alkylated <italic>N</italic>-heteroaromatics.
