Abstract

These results suggest effective treatment of the anaemia phenotype in TALENs<sup>+</sup> /β<sup>654</sup> mice following deletion of the mutation site by TALENs, demonstrating a simple and straightforward strategy for gene therapy of β<sup>654</sup> -thalassaemia in the future.
