Curcumin Alleviates Diabetic Retinopathy in Experimental Diabetic Rats

Abstract

Taken together, these results suggest that curcumin may have great therapeutic potential in the treatment of diabetic retinopathy which could be attributed to the hypoglycemic, antioxidant, VEGF-downregulating and neuroprotection properties of curcumin.
