Abstract

This book provides a set of clearly written reviews covering each of the topics being studied in an attempt to understand the 'quiet' solar atmosphere. Each chapter – covering a particular subject such as structural features, magnetic fields, energy and momentum balance – contains an outline of the observational and theoretical work being carried out on that topic.
